The Dial Out of Queue feature allows callers queued after calling an endpoint, ring group or console to dial out of the queue during or between RAD messages, if they cannot hold until the called party answers the call.
Only endpoints, ring groups or consoles that support Call Coverage Services allow callers to dial out of the queue.
Sufficient DTMF Receivers must be available to handle the extra demand generated by this feature. The number of DTMF Receivers required is dependent on several variables including:
the number of available trunks,
the volume of calls, and,
the length of each RAD message.
The extra demand generated by this feature can be minimized by providing dial out capability during the first RAD message in the Dial Out of Queue Lists form.
The single digit FAC for Callback does not work if this feature is programmed (that is, if sets that support Call Coverage Service has Dial Out of Queue programmed). However, the Callback softkey (if supported by the set) works.
For a console, program either the RAD - Attendant Overflow feature or the Dial Out of Queue feature. Do not program both the features.
If a RAD is in "Do Not Disturb" or "Out of Service" state, Dial Out of Queue is enabled only if Release Digit Receiver After Recording (in the Call Coverage Services form) for that RAD is set to No.
